White Pizza

Pizza? Without sauce? Yeah, that's what white pizza is. I never thought that pizza could taste so good without it. This turned out pretty amazing.

Just two ingredients: 1. dough 2. cheese: monterey jack, mild cheddar, uhh and that other cheese in the photo. That's it!

No sauce! Just add the cheese! We also added a bit of seasoning to the pizza (salt, pepper, basil, whatever). We used a new dough this time. Pillsbury pizza crust "classic." Very yummy,  it tasted more pizza like than the previous one we were using, we just might use this for our dough from now on.

Natalie and I got a little too excited and forgot to take a picture of the pizza before we put it into the oven!

And of course throw it in the oven and take out when the cheese bubbles and browns. This one didn't take long at all.

Oh my, look how sexy this white pizza is.

Garlic Pizza

Mmmm, garlic pizza. This came out perfect. We added just the right amount of garlic so the flavor slowly kept on building with every slice. We did end up smelling like garlic for the next few days, but the scent is like perfume to us. Here, a delightful prose describing the wonders of garlic.

Oh garlic, so humble and fine
with taste and aroma sublime
When I'm feeling low
A great gift you bestow
When baked with some cheese and dough

Main Ingredients:
  • cheese: monterey jack, mild cheddar, feta
  • garlic: we used two heads, but add more or less to your liking
  • sauce: tomato (we used a plain generic brand, added seasonings to make it taste less like shit) & cholula

Really simple pizza, but with subtle twist: we mixed cholula with our tomato sauce. We also rolled out the pizza like a rectangle instead of a circle (I know, sounds like a crazy idea, but bear with us). We ended up not putting enough cholula with the sauce, so load that shit up if you want it spicy! Shred your garlic (or mince, whatever) and put on pizza.

Pile on the cheese. We sprinkled just a little bit of feta on the top. Do you know how salty feta is? I remember seeing pizza at a buffet and I was like "Awesome! Pizza!" but I took a bite out of it and it wasn't even pizza, just salt flavored cheese on top of salt water sauce on top of salty bread, it was horrible. Feta belongs on pizzas in very small quantities.

350º oven, wait for cheese to bubble and start to turn brown, then take out!

See, the rectangle worked out fine.

Pita Pizza

First tabouli pizza, now pita pizza. How much more middle eastern can we get? We promise you dear readers that Natalie and I are not terrorists, just pizza terrorists (Zing!). When you want pizza in a pinch or you're too lazy to make a real one, this is the best option. Slices of bread just doesn't cut it, get some pita bread.

Ingredients:
  • pita bread
  • cheese: monterey jack, mild cheddar, and provolone
  • tomato sauce
  • toppings of your choice (we used spinach)

To the left we have my (Michelle) pizza with monterey jack and provolone cheese with spinach, and to the right we have Natalie's pizza with monterey jack and mild cheddar cheese with lots of garlic salt (which started out as an accident on Natalie's part, but ended up being delicious). The sauce we used was plain, so just add whatever spices you want. We used salt, pepper, basil, and garlic salt.

We put our pita pizzas in a toaster oven and pressed "toast," heard a "ding!" and they were done! If you don't have a toaster oven, well then I guess you're shit outta luck! No, I'm kidding. Just use your oven or something (duh).

Take your pizzas out when they look like this (5-10 minutes)! The pita bread becomes crunchy and then you have warm, gooey, soft cheese to contrast. It goes so well together. They both came out equally amazing. Quick, easy, and tastes like pizza.

Photo Credit of course goes to Natalie!
